Just a quick NOTE: If you are coming to the Columbia Basin area and looking for a quilt store, I would suggest shopping at THE FABRIC PATCH in Ephrata. You will find oodles of fabric and a friendly staff.
Well, were does one start with something like "About Me"?????????
I was born in .......Just kidding..................Most likely I'm just like you. A mother, sister and wife.
I have been married to the same guy, if you can believe it, for 34 years. Seems like 134 sometimes. I have two grown boys, one 28 and he lives in Missouri and married in Feb 2009. My youngest son, 25, just graduated from Washington State University.
I have 5 brothers, and I'm a care giver for my mother and father as all my brothers live out of state.
I started quilting in the late 70"s when my mother decided to buy a sewing machine. She didn't want to take Quilting 101 by herself so she roped me in. I can honestly say that my mother is responsible for my addiction.
With my father and 2 of my brothers being engineers I tend to think like them and find myself always altering and adjusting any pattern or book I use. Friends have always asked me to draft them a quilt project from the time I first started quilting. I could say that it just comes natural, sort of. Mostly quilting comes from my heart. It's the first thing I think about in the morning, other than what's for dinner, and the last thing I do at night, other than kiss my hubby good night.
I moved to Moses Lake in 1990 from the Seattle/Bellevue area and really got absorbed into the quilt guild here. The ladies here are amazing and love their quilting. We do 2 retreats a year and have a blast.
I've taught quilting classes, software classes and classes for new sewing/embroidery machine owners.
I worked for my husband off and on as needed for 20+ years and worked at our local quilt shop for many years.
I love what I do and I hope my patterns can help you to love what you do to. I strive to keep them as simple as possible so that your STRESS level stays low on the rictor scale.
Is that enough? OR Was that TMI? (to much information)
